The host of a group recording session is known in Wistia as the producer. To begin a new group recording session, click the plus sign at the top of the page and select Record > Record with others.

Note: You must be an Account Owner or Manager, or have upload permissions for at least one folder to start a new recording session.

You’ll arrive on the recording settings page to select a display name, microphone, camera, and device speakers. Click Enter to access the recording room. If you’re having trouble granting access to your camera, microphone, or screen, refer to our troubleshooting guide.

You’ll immediately be prompted to copy a link to invite others to the recording session. You can copy this link again at the bottom left of the recording page at any time.

To start recording a clip, click the Record button in the bottom left corner of the page. The producer can pause and restart the recording anytime during the session to allow participants to take breaks and reset throughout.

Once all clips have been uploaded successfully, you can end the session by clicking End at the bottom right of the page. You’ll be prompted to save the recording to a folder or delete it permanently.
