Generate a permanent, reusable recording link that you can attach to meeting invites when scheduling with your guests. To get started, click "Create" from anywhere in your account. Hover over the "Record" option, then select "Reusable links."

You'll land on the Reusable links page. From here, click the “Create” button to create a new link.

You'll be prompted to add a link name, which will be referenced in the Host and Guest URLs, and optionally require manual admission. Once complete, click "Create."

With your newly generated reusable link, you can take any of the following actions:

When "Require manual admission" is enabled, guests won't be able to join the session until the host manually approves them.

As a host, you can approve or deny a join request via the "Requests" panel in the recording room.

When a guest navigates to the Guest link, they'll be asked to enter a display name and submit a request to join. Upon submission, we'll display a "waiting for the host" message.

If approved, the guest will be redirected to the pre-recording settings page, where they can adjust their settings and join the recording session.

If denied, the guest will be prevented from joining the session. We'll display a message explaining that their request was denied.

From the Reusable links page, click the copy button next to the Host link or Guest link, depending on your needs. The reusable link will be copied to your clipboard for you to share with participants.

The Host link gives the recipient full control of the recording session (i.e., start, pause, and end the recording), while the Guest link offers limited capabilities. Check out our Record in Wistia article for a breakdown of host and guest abilities.

To delete a reusable link, navigate to the Reusable links page and locate the link you'd like to delete. Click the vertical ellipses button associated with the reusable link, then click "Delete."
