Pardot’s legacy Wistia Connector is no longer reliable in syncing video engagement data. Thus, Wistia has implemented an update to restore viewer-level percent watched, so you can again use video engagement for scoring and automation. Wistia remains the source of truth for video analytics.
Alert
As of February 18, 2026, you must disconnect and reconnect your existing Pardot integration to leverage this update. Wistia video engagement data will not be synced to Pardot unless the integration is reconnected.
How it works
When you connect or reconnect the Pardot integration, Wistia will create two custom fields for Pardot Prospects:
Wistia Last Video Watched
Wistia Last Video Watched Percent
Video watch milestones (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will be synced to these fields along with the video name. New watch events will overwrite the existing values in these fields.
See our Pardot integration overview to learn more about connecting and using the integration.
FAQ
Does this update fully replace the old Pardot Wistia Connector?
No. This restores the most critical engagement signal (% watched) so automation and scoring work again. It does not recreate Pardot’s video reports, heatmaps, or full activity history.
Will historical video engagement be backfilled?
Only new watch events after connection/reconnection will sync with this release. We are working to backfill data from October 15, 2025, onward, in a future release.
Does this work for webinars?
No. The webinar integration was not impacted by the Pardot-built Wistia Connector no longer working.
What about heatmaps or video reports in Pardot?
Pardot heatmaps and video reports remain unreliable. Customers should use Wistia for video analytics and visualization, and Pardot to act on the engagement signals we send.
