The media Audience page (formerly "Conversions") includes identified and anonymous viewers, viewer touchpoints, and viewer-level heatmaps.
Note
This page shows viewers of one video. To see viewers across your whole account, refer to Viewer Analytics.
To access the Audience analytics page for a video, open the video's Manage page, click "Analytics", then select "Audience".
Open the video's Manage page and click "Analytics".
On the Analytics page, open the "Audience" tab.
Choose a date range, then filter by viewer type: all, identified, or anonymous.
Identified viewers are people Wistia can link to an email address, such as through a form or an email platform integration.
Anonymous viewers have not been identified yet. Each one gets a unique ID, and the table shows the last 6 characters of that ID.
Explore viewing activity
Each heatmap shows what the viewer watched, skipped, and rewatched during the date range you chose. Heatmaps also mark interactions with Forms, CTAs, and annotation links. Click a heatmap to open it next to the video and its transcript.
Audience touchpoints
To see a viewer's activity across your account, click the magnifying glass icon next to their name in the audience table.
Their contact card shows:
Contact details, for identified viewers
Their total number of touchpoints
A timeline of their activity across videos and webinars, in order
For anonymous viewers, their first activity and their "Last" activity
A touchpoint is recorded when a viewer:
Watches a video
Submits a form on a video
Registers for a webinar
Attends a webinar
Note
Each interaction adds to the viewer's touchpoint total, which covers a rolling 2-year window.
Video and webinar views in the activity timeline
Each video view and webinar view in the timeline includes that viewer's heatmap. Form submissions, webinar registrations, and webinar attendance each have their own icon, so you can quickly tell activity types apart.
Tip
To learn more about reading heatmaps, see our heatmaps overview.
Export audience data
To download your audience data as a CSV, click "Export" at the top right of the Audience table. The export includes both identified and anonymous viewers.
Find form submission performance
To see how forms perform over time, click "Analytics", then "Embed". Click the "Form Submissions" summary tile to filter the trends chart to submissions.
