The “Trends” page provides detailed insights into the performance of a single media, an individual folder, or your entire account within a custom date range.
Note
Videos referenced in Channels are included in your account-level video trends. Audio stats are not included in account-level trends at this time. Account-level trends do not currently include the option to filter by Channels.
Account-level video trends
Note
Only Account Owners and Managers can access account-level trends.
In the left-side navigation menu, select “Trends” from the “Analytics” drop-down.
Tip
Looking for logged-in user activity? Head to your account settings and click "Private User Sessions".
You'll be directed to the "Trends" page, where you’ll see the daily analytics for your media for the last week by default.
Analytics are differentiated in the graph by video stats in green and folder stats in blue.
Hover over the graph to see analytics for an individual video or folder, or analytics for all videos or folders by hovering over the white space.
Select an individual folder from the graph to see analytics exclusive to those videos, or select a single video to hone in on any spikes.
Sort trends by date
Above the graph, you’ll see an option to select a date range. Wistia supplies five preset date ranges:
Month to date
Last month
Last 90 days
Year to date
Last year
You can choose from these options or enter a custom date range.
To view all-time analytics for your videos, enter any date before you opened your account. We’ll automatically adjust the date to the start date of your account when you click "Update".
Keep in mind that only the play count will change within a specific date range, while engagement and play rate are calculated as all-time stats.
Click the title of an individual media to access the video-level analytics. Check out our Media Analytics Overview for more information.
Sort trends by play metrics
Once the trends graph has loaded based on your selections, you can also sort the returned videos and folders by date created, number of videos, and number of plays.
Double-click on any column title to switch the order from descending to ascending.
Export trends
At the bottom of the “Trends” page, click “Export to CSV” to export data for your selected date range.
Click “Load more” to load 10 more videos into the trends list.
Uncheck the “Show remaining videos in chart” option to limit the trends graph to only the media visible in the list.
In the “Export Stats” modal, you can export all videos in your account, or only the videos currently in the trends list.
A CSV file containing your requested data will be sent to your user login email.
