Use expiring links for more control over the media share links you've distributed.
To set up an expiring link, head to the video you'd like to share and click "Share," then select "Share link."
In the share modal, select "Generate expiring link."
Tip
You can generate multiple expiring links at once.
By default, links expire after seven days. You can also check off "This link does not expire," or set a "Valid from" and "Expires at" time.
You can select dates and times from the calendar dropdown, or type in your desired timeframe.
Once saved, you can see when the link is scheduled to activate. Click the pencil icon to edit, or the file icon to deactivate the link. Clicking the link copies it to your clipboard.
When editing a link, you can also choose to delete it.
Note
If you delete an expiring link and change your mind, you will need to generate a new one and reshare it.
If someone views the link before it is activated, they'll see a message that the link is not yet active, along with the time it is set to go live.
Once live, the public media page can be accessed normally.
In the share modal, the "Scheduled" status will change to "Active." You can also see when it is scheduled to expire.
Tip
You can edit the timeframe or deactivate the link at any time.
Once your link has expired, the "Active" status will change to "Expired."
If anyone lands on the media's page after the link has expired, they'll see a message indicating that the link is no longer active.
