When orchestrating a seamless live event, the technical details can make or break the experience. This article will walk you through essential technical recommendations to elevate your live event, including the best practices for equipment setup, network configuration, and browser settings.

Getting Started

Before kicking off your event, you’ll want to ensure everything is set up correctly. To start, you'll need the following:

  • A Chromium-based browser

  • A laptop or desktop computer

  • A webcam

  • A microphone

  • A solid internet connection

Read on for tips that will help you deliver a professional and memorable event.

Browser

For Hosts and Panelists, we support Chromium-based browsers such as:

  • Google Chrome

  • Brave

  • Arc

  • Microsoft Edge

Your audience can watch your event from any browser that supports HTML5 (which is widely supported by most major browsers). You can learn more about Viewer Requirements here.

System

For the best experience, we recommend using Windows 10 or above or MacOS 14 or above, if possible. Newer operating systems will have the most stable connections.

Hosting an event from a mobile device is not currently supported, however, viewers can still attend the event using a mobile device.

Permissions

Live will need access to the following permissions from both the browser and operating system:

  • Microphone Access

  • Camera Access

  • Screen-capture Access

Network

When going live, a stable network connection is crucial for things to run smoothly. Hosts and Panelists should have at least a consistent 10Mbps upload speed.
