Overview

When you create a live event, you'll be taken directly to the event's Overview page. This is where you can update the title, set the date and time, approximate duration, as well as a number of other things. When you make a change to information on the Overview page, your event will automatically update.

You can also join the event as a host or panelist, or view it as an audience member.

Click "Share" to copy invitation links for hosts, panelists, and audience members, or share the live event with users for them to manage and/or host it.

Check out the Live Event Permissions page to learn about inviting users to your live event.

Title

To change the title of your live event, click the pencil icon next to it.

Once all set, click "Save."

Schedule live event

To change the date and time, time zone, and approximate duration, open up the dropdown menus to make a selection, or directly type in your desired information.

Live event description

Add a description to your live event to capture registrants and attendees.

You can customize the format of the description with bold font, italics, and more.

Tip

You can also update the description for your event after entering Customize. In the "Registration page" section, click into "Event description."

Live event AI description

If you'd like, you can choose to have AI generate a description for you instead.

After clicking "Generate AI Description," you'll be prompted to write a summary of your event and select your brand voice. From here, you can select "Generate Description."

Once complete, you can choose to rewrite the description, or apply it to your event.

Live event image

Upload an image for your event. The image will display on your registration page, in any confirmation and reminder emails sent regarding your event, on the screen before your event starts, and when it ends.

Click "Upload thumbnail" to select an image from your computer.

Note

The image must be a 1280 x 720px png or jpg.

Event image alt text

Add alt text to your event image to make your live event more accessible to audience members.

Webcam virtual background

If you'd like to change your background for your live event, you can upload a virtual background that will be available for all hosts and panelists to use during the event.

Click the "+" icon to upload an image from your computer. You can also choose to blur your background or select a different background during the live event. You can do so when joining a live event, or via the "Video" setting in the live event room.

Registration

This is where you can toggle your registration to "On" or unpublish it.

Click "Customize" to go to the Registration customization page, where you can adjust the appearance. This includes custom buttons, graphics, form placement, and more. Learn about customizing the Registration page here.

Post event

After your live event ends, you can decide how you'd like your audience to be able to interact with the recording. You can:

  • Allow your audience to enter the event room to watch the recording

  • Don't allow your audience to watch the recording (they'll see a closed event page)

For each option, you can click "Preview" to see how this would appear for your audience.

Once you've made a selection, click "Save."

Tip

If you have registration enabled for your event, anyone who didn't previously register to view the event live will still need to register in order to view the recording.

Media destination

Once you've ended your live event, decide which folder you'd like to save the recording in.

By default, after you schedule a live event, your account will have a "Live Event Media" folder. You can update the title of this folder, delete, or select a different folder. To select a different folder, click "Edit." Then, scroll through your folders to select the desired one, or type in the title to search for it. Once selected, click "Save."
