After creating a webinar, you can schedule a video to start the event automatically. On your event's Overview page, click "Edit" under Webinar info to open the Webinar Info modal.
In the settings tab, select the "Pre-recorded webinar" option, then click "Choose video."
Note
Simulcasting is not available for pre-recorded events.
You'll be prompted to select an existing video from your Wistia account in the pop-up modal. You can navigate and search all of the content in your Wistia account.
Select a video and click "Add 1 video" to return to the Webinar Info modal. Click "Save" to confirm your changes.
Note
Your selected video must be at least one minute long and cannot have Turnstiles or password protection enabled.
If you changed your mind or accidentally selected the wrong video, click “Replace video” to choose a new one.
Tip
You can create your pre-recorded webinar, enable registration, and promote it before your final video is ready. When you're ready, use "Replace video" any time before the event begins to swap in the finished media.
A pre-recorded event will begin streaming at the scheduled time with the video you’ve selected.
Note
Pre-recorded events may begin up to a minute after the scheduled time.
Tip
Pre-recorded webinars can be embedded on your own site. See Embed a Full Webinar Experience for details.
A limited version of chat, Q&A, and polls will be available throughout the event. Hosts will be able to use Private Chat and Audience Chat, ask and answer questions, and launch polls. Audience members will be able to chat, ask and respond to questions, and respond to polls.
However, other event room features will be disabled. These include:
Selecting another video to present
Layout changes
Bringing people on/off stage
Bringing comments, polls, and Q&A on stage
Uploading and bringing slides on stage
The webinar will end automatically once the video ends.
Note
In case of an emergency, any host can end the event early.
If you’d like to run a partially simulated event or begin an event with a video, you can run a regular event and use the Present Media feature to display videos at their highest quality on stage at your desired timing.
