Connect your Wistia and Google Drive accounts to import files for sharing, editing, and embedding—no downloading and re-uploading necessary.

Connect the integration

Note

You must be an Account Owner or Manager in Wistia to connect the Google Drive integration.

On the “Integrations” page in your account settings, select Google Drive in the “My Integrations” section. Click “Connect”.

You’ll be prompted to log in to your Google account and grant access to Wistia to see and download all your Google Drive files.

Import media from Google Drive

Note

Any files in My Drive or public files shared with you can be imported to Wistia.

If a file is marked as “Restricted” in Google Drive, it must be updated to public share settings to be uploaded to Wistia.

Once the integration is connected, you can import Google Drive files from your Home page, Content Library, or any folder.

To get started, click "Add" or "Create" at the top right of the page. Click "Import" and "Import from Google Drive in the dropdown menu.

You’ll see a file picker showing all available videos in your Google Drive, sorted by last updated. In this modal, you can select one or multiple videos to import.

If you're importing from a folder page, all selected files will be uploaded to that folder. If you're uploading from the Home or Content Library page, you'll be prompted to choose a destination folder for your uploads.

Click “Import” to begin the uploading process. All selected files will appear in the chosen folder.
