Webinars have a lot of moving parts. There are many things you’ll want to keep in mind throughout the process, so we’ve compiled them for you. We recommend reviewing this checklist before and after your webinar to ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Pre-webinar
Check your webinar settings
Verify that your Registration form is enabled to collect leads (See Webinar Overview Page)
If you’re using a marketing or email integration, ensure your leads are being sent to the correct list (See Customize Webinar Registration Form)
Ensure your on-demand viewing and media destination choices are set (See Webinar Overview Page)
Set up streaming to other platforms, if needed (See Simulcasting and Setting Up the Wistia - LinkedIn Live Integration)

Prep the event room
Ensure that chat, Q&A, and poll preferences are configured and displayed accurately (See Live Event Audience Interaction)
Add videos from your Content Library or upload PDF slides to the Event room (See Present Media in Webinar)
Upload a webcam virtual background for hosts and panelists to use (See Customize Event Room)
Optionally set a Redirect URL to automatically send your audience to another page once the webinar ends (See Customize Event Room)

Promote your webinar
Share event links with hosts, panelists, and audience members (See Getting Started with Webinars)
Double-check the timing and content of your confirmation, reminder, and follow-up emails (See Customize Webinar Emails)
Consider promoting your webinar by adding it to a Channel (See Wistia Channels)
Embed your webinar on your site, if desired (See Getting Started with Webinars)
Go Live!
Ensure proper device settings and network connection
Join the Event room 15–20 minutes before the webinar begins (See Getting Started with Webinars)
Make sure both your device and browser have granted Wistia permission to access your microphone, camera, and screen (See Live Event Technical Recommendations)
Check the Network Strength indicator to ensure your network connection is stable (See The Webinar Event Room)

Engage with your audience
Pin important comments to the top of the chat panel, reply to your audience’s discussions, and silence any disruptive attendees (See Webinar Audience Interaction)
Monitor the Q&A tab for questions and launch polls (See Webinar Audience Interaction)
Share links throughout the webinar via External links (See Webinar External Links)
Post-webinar
Review webinar performance
Use the Event Analytics page to understand how your webinar performed (See Live Event Registration Analytics and Live Event Recap)
Export the analytics data for internal reporting, and nurturing and qualifying leads (See Exporting Analytics)
Set up your on-demand experience
Did you already enable on-demand viewing? If not, you can turn it on from the Webinar Overview page. (See Webinar Overview Page)
Make sure you’re still sending your on-demand registrations to the appropriate marketing or email list (See Customize Webinar Registration Form)
Edit and customize your webinar recording
Trim your recording or add branded bumpers with the Wistia Editor (See Editing in Wistia)
Ensure captions and transcripts are available (See Transcripts and Captions)
For longer content, you may want to add Chapters (See Chapters in Your Video)
Repurpose your webinar into more content
Create short-form clips for social media with the recording using our Social Clips feature (See Social Clips)
